Dr. John M. Lasak, M.D.
Dr. Lasak was born and raised in Michigan. He loves the outdoors and is an avid skier and fisherman. He attended undergraduate school at Michigan State University and majored in Physiology. While at MSU he was both a chemistry and physics teaching assistant.
After graduating from MSU, Dr. Lasak attended Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in 1994 and graduated with honors.
Dr. Lasak then attended Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine in Philadelphia for his Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery residency. That is when he became interested in otology and neurotology. He attended The Ohio State University for his Otology and Neurotology fellowship. While there he honed his medical and surgical skills, and actively participated in molecular biology and genetic research. He won The Xomed research Award for his work in molecular biology work on Acoustic Neuromas.
Dr. Lasak joined the Wichita Ear Clinic in 2001 and is a clinical professor in Surgery and Pediatrics at The Kansas University School of Medicine-Wichita. He cares for patients of all ages. He is compassionate about his work and always tries to achieve the very best outcome. Dr. Lasak provides both medical and surgical care for all aspects of otology and neurotology.
